OLI-NATURA Colour Oil — Midnight Black
€33.00
Excluding Sales Tax
Deep-black, high-solid colour oil for colouring and protecting interior wood in one coat. It is based on the solvent-free Worktop Oil system made from linseed and tung oil, combined with UV-stable pigments for an intense and even Midnight Black finish.
Important: A-component only
This 0.5 L container contains the Colour Oil only. For correct 2-component use, mix it with 0.1 L OLI-NATURA Hardener in a 5:1 ratio. The Hardener is sold separately. If you need both components together, choose the OLI-NATURA Colour Oil 2C Set.
Where can I use it?
Interior furniture, tables and worktops
Wooden stairs and other flat, heavily used surfaces
Oak and other absorbent hardwoods where an intense black effect is required
Wood surfaces pretreated with OLI-NATURA Antique for an especially dramatic black effect
How to use it
Sand the surface evenly, normally P100–P180, and remove all sanding dust. The wood must be dry, clean and free from grease, wax and silicone; recommended moisture is 8–12%.
Shake or stir both components separately. Mix 5 parts Colour Oil with 1 part Hardener for 1–2 minutes until completely homogeneous. Prepare only as much as can be used within about 3 hours.
Spread a small amount very thinly with a stainless-steel spatula or rubber squeegee.
Massage it into the wood with a beige pad and allow 15–30 minutes of working time.
Polish thoroughly with a white pad or oil-absorbent cloth until the surface no longer appears wet or feels sticky.
Coverage and drying
One coat, approximately 20–40 ml/m² depending on sanding and absorbency, equal to about 25–50 m² per litre. Drying depends on temperature and humidity. Protect the surface from water, soap and heavy use until fully cured.
Good to know
Complies with DIN EN 71-3 and DIN 53160. The oil is made without cobalt, oximes, formaldehyde, aromatic solvents, biocides or preservatives. Hardener contains isocyanates and may cause allergic reactions; follow the label and safety data sheet. Oil-soaked cloths and pads can self-ignite and must be cleaned immediately or stored under water or airtight in metal.
