Real wood acoustic panels for quieter, better-looking interiors

PEKERWOOD acoustic wood panels combine genuine solid aspen slats with recycled PET acoustic felt. They are not MDF strips, printed wood-look boards or thin decorative veneer. The natural grain and tone remain visible, while the slatted surface and porous backing help control reflected sound.

The system is suitable for feature walls and ceilings in homes, offices, meeting rooms, restaurants, hotels, studios and public interiors. Choose between 11 × 33 mm or 21 × 33 mm solid-wood profiles, selected finishes, black or grey felt, and lengths appropriate to the project. Products are sold in packs of five panels.

Acoustic performance and installation

The panel system has achieved sound absorption Class A with a weighted absorption coefficient of αw = 0.9 when installed on 50 mm battens with 50 mm mineral wool behind the panels. Actual results depend on covered area, wall build-up, room geometry, furnishings and installation quality.

• Install directly to a suitable substrate when visual treatment and moderate acoustic improvement are required.

• Install on battens with an absorbent layer behind the panels for higher sound absorption.

• Use fixings selected for the wall or ceiling substrate. Optional colour-matched screw kits are available for five-panel packs.

• Allow for natural variation in real timber colour, grain and finger-joint pattern.

Choosing the right panel

The 11 × 33 mm profile gives a lighter, more detailed rhythm. The 21 × 33 mm profile creates a stronger architectural line and greater visual depth. Thermally modified aspen has a warmer tone, anthracite gives a darker contemporary finish, and transparent white keeps a light timber character.

Frequently asked questions

Do acoustic wood panels completely soundproof a room?

No. They reduce reflections, echo and reverberation inside a room. Soundproofing between rooms requires a complete wall or ceiling construction designed for isolation.

Are the slats made from real wood?

Yes. The listed PEKERWOOD panels use genuine solid aspen or thermally modified solid aspen, not MDF or a printed imitation.

What is the minimum order?

The minimum order is five matching panels. Each product price is shown for a five-panel pack.

Can the panels be used on ceilings?

Yes, provided the supporting structure and fixings are designed for the substrate, panel weight and project requirements.
